The resource section of the site is finally open. There is no underlying programming involved with the download process. I decided to just go old fashioned and forget the whole cart system all together. Since it is all free there is not much need for a cart. The only good thing about it would be to more accurately track the downloads.
Aside from that i am also going to be highlighting one artist per month. There will be a short bio on the artist, links to their sites or galleries & a few scaled down works or theirs.
Have fun with everything you download and feel free to Use or Not use the donation button on the resource page.
After speaking with a few graphics friends, i have decided against the sale of my brush sets. But with decision also comes another that is probably not what you would like to hear. After all this time going back and forth about the new brush set and its release, i have wasted far more time than i would have liked and now must wait until the season is right again to release the new set. The set will be available this year, but it will not be available now. All of my other brush sets will be available in the resource section very shortly. There will be a donation button if you wish to use it, thank you very much. If not that’s also fine.
I am sorry to inform you all that everything is being pushed back a bit. I have run into some personal matters that i need to deal with. When all is taken care of i will release the new sets, the resource center and everything else. It is all finished for the most part. It is just a matter of putting it all online testing and then the launch. I am sorry it has taken me soo long to get everything done, but as of right now i am one man and i have other obligations to take care of. Again i am sorry for the delay on the resources, i may upload some newer work to the gallery in the meantime though.
So it’s 2009 now, and in the past year we have gone though some hard times. We have all lost loved ones, money, some have lost their jobs their careers and our morals are slowly but surely following the trend. One of the things i will most remember about 2008 is the presidential election and the history that was made by the voice of the people praying for “Change”, Not going to say whether or not i liked the outcome of the election, i don’t get into politics much. But i do have to say regardless of your personal choices or beliefs you cannot discount the fact that entire world watched history be made in November 2008.
Some of the other things i will remember most about 2008 though they will not be happy memories, i will still remember a few of the celebrities we lost last year. One of the most upsetting for me Being Robert Graham (August 19, 1938 -December 27, 2008). This man was a living legend to sculptors and aspiring artists alike. He has been credited for Sculpting the L.A Olympic Gateway & has also sculpted statues of and for many of The United States Presidents. I have used some of his work as reference material in my own art work. He was born 44 years to the day prior to my own entry into life. He will be missed, but will continue to live forever within his Sculptures. Bernie Mack & Issac Hayes were also two huge losses dealt to the Hollywood community. Shockingly enough the appear together in the movie “Soul Men”. If i was Samuel Jackson I’d be worried.
Anyway it is supposed to be Happy time. A new year, a fresh start! Let us hope this one is better than the last for all of us. Happy New Year!!!
First we would like to apologize for the false information regarding the shopping features.. We ran into some technical difficulties and were unable to launch the shopping cart. We have been working on fixing the issues with the cart. We do not want to lie again so we will not give an exact date on when the cart will be available but we do hope to have it working within the next month.
Sometimes some good can come from a bad situation. During some of the time that would of been spent putting the finishing touches on the cart, we started work on a new texture pack. Many times in the past, I have searched for a good fire or flame image to add that finishing touch a horrific image. Now i always had to settle for something that was close but not quite what i needed. During the past week i also ran into this problem while creating a image. So i decided that it was time to create a fire pack of my own. Most of my resources are created when i cannot find what i need in the graphics world. If they work for me they should work for you. Some of the resources have been made previously available, through other websites and resource Cd’s included with various issues of Advanced Photoshop Magazine. The magazine always only contained sample packs. The Full versions have been pulled from all websites and replaced with sample packs. Any and all full versions of the resources created By: Tom Mack™ , ZKini™ & Skelator Imaging™ will be available exclusively in our resource section pending the completion of the shopping cart issues.
Today is a good day for ZKini™, Today we finally settled on a shopping cart solution, & hope to have it fully integrated within the next week or so. We also decided that we would use the already integrated paypal checkout options. Most of our products will be digital content and mainly available for download. There may be a few things that will require shipping, The few products that would require shipping are still on the drawing board anyway so the current downloadable content is our main concern.
The content Tom Mack has prepared for the launch of the resource section consists of a few brush sets and over 100+ Textures, To be sold as individual items and package deals. Some of the content that will be available has been featured in “Advanced Photoshop Magazine”, various resource websites and graphics blogs. Some of the resources set to launch include but are not limited to “Tom Macks - Blood/ Ink Splatter brushes V1″, “Tom Macks - Snow Brushes V1″ , “Tom Macks - Snow Brushes V2″ , “Tom Macks - Rain / Tear Drop brushes V1″ , “Tom Macks - Wood Texture pack 1″ , “Tom Macks - Earth Texture pack 1″ , and much much more.
Currently in development are a few new brush sets including Snow Brushes Vol3, Blood brushes vol2, Chicken Scratch vol1, and Death brushes Vol1. The snow and blood brushes you can pretty much tell from the names what will be included in the sets. The Chicken Scratch and Death brushes are a bit harder to determine. The Chicken Scratch set will basically include The English Alphabet in various styles of Bad Bad penmanship, such as the 1st grader style that is included. The set would be better as a font, However the only style differences within the font that you would be able to include would be Bold, Italic, etc. If there was a way for me to make this set a font i would but the technology is not available as of yet. The Death set will include skulls, crosses, bones, pentagrams, etc.
These sets have no set or expected release date. Just keep an eye out for them. There has not been a set released by Tom Mack after 2005 that has not been featured somewhere!! The only question is… Will you be the first person to create something even more amazing than the brush sets Themselves???
OK so today we don’t have too much to add.
We are still searching extensively for the right shopping cart software, and when we find it all of the resources will be available for purchase and download.
The gallery has yet to acquire any new members but we feel that in time people will start using it. We are thinking about offering a family photo gallery for those who don’t have art to display but only the affection and connections with family members as seen in their photo’s. We currently have a open and free registration for the gallery area. We are not sure if we will make the gallery service a paid subscription or not. But either way those who are here before that starts are here for free. Not that there is anyone here yet. But just in-case we do start requiring a subscription, i don’t want anyone to say that i never said anything about it.
We are also thinking about adding not only resources created by Tom Mack.. But resources created by anyone.. If you are interested in sharing your resources here, please check the contact page and email us, with the subject Resource Development. And we will get back to you as quick as possible.
Today we started extensively searching for a shopping cart plug-in for the site. As soon as we come across the right one we will implement the system into the website and begin selling the brushes, textures and photo stock that Tom Mack has prepared for the launch. Shortly after the launch We will begin developing more resources and will continue to create more and more high quality resources for your graphics applications.
We would also like you to know that if the new shopping cart system allows we will make all of the other services accessible through the shopping cart.
As always if you have any questions comments or concerns please feel free to navigate to the contact page and use one of the listed contact methods.
We plan on adding the remaining images from Tom Macks art collection to the gallery section today. We will also be adding a video tutorial shortly on changing eye color in photoshop. Along with many more tutorials to follow in various skill ranges.
We are also still looking into the shopping cart and donation center so that we can start linking the New and old resources developed by Tom Mack. If you would like to view samples of some of the brush sets created by Tom Mack you may find them at SkelatorImaging.com However they are no longer available for download you may still view the sample images.
Also just finished is a texture pack filled with over 130 textures!!! This pack includes Wood, Earth and other textures, and also includes a few stock images that weren’t intended for use as textures but may add just the right touch for that image you are working on. Most places we have seen offer similar texture packs in several downloads and payments. We offer twice the amount and Superior quality over our average competitors. If you were to acquire a similar texture pack using stock image sites you could pay more than $100.00 our texture pack is estimated to sell for less than $30.00 via download. Data CD will cost slightly more than the download.
Today Skelator Imaging™ released all licensing rights to works and resources Created by: Tom Mack, To ZKini™. The resources in question are to be relocated, re-packaged, and then available for download after a donation or small payment is made. These resources include but are not limited to, Brush and texture image packs & advanced Photoshop brush sets. A few of the brush sets that will be available were featured along with a small article in an issue of “Advanced Photoshop Magazine™ ” Keep your eyes open! These brush sets will be available shortly, and with over 100,000 downloads they aren’t as rare as they used to be.
