You’ve seen movies like Batman & Iron-man, and I’m sure like myself you thought wow what if i had the money or means to do that. Now how far fetched is it? There are Millionaires all over the place and I’m sure that it’s not out of their means to acquire the equipment and technology to build, Kevlar suits, expensive gadgets, & and a nasty fast armored car. On a quick 2 second estimate i imagine i could be batman for around 1 million dollars. This number may change as i explain how i imagine it can be accomplished. Iron-man is currently impossible for the average man, millionaire, whoever, due to the fact they don’t just leave flight suits laying around for you to study, and frankly i think the government might have a problem with someone just suddenly buying Rocket fuel. Now if the actual power source for the Iron-man Suit existed then i might be able to price that one up for you also. But for now lets just stick with Batman.

The suit:

Now my suit is simple. The dragon skin armor plating system is effective against the Five-Nine and the Five-Seven also known as the “Cop Killer” This ammo for this gun has been known to cut through normal bulletproof vests like butter. But these guns aren’t what you should be worried about as Batman. Its the Ak47’s, AR15’s, and shotguns you should be worried about. The dragon skin body armor can stop anything short of the .50 cal rifles. The Desert Eagle handgun doesn’t stand a chance against the dragon skin. This armor is very lightweight and flexible. Its can be fitted Neck to toe, and is only about 1” thick. The helmet is a bit more tricky as i don not like i can kill batman with a good shot to the mouth. Newer army helmets are made of i think a a bunch of fiberglass? sheets layered pressed and molded together to form the shape of the helmet. I would have that same material layered pressed and molded to create a helmet that would cover my entire head and mouth. So lets say all of this, the suit and the helmet cost about $20,000.00 I’ll even go as far as to say $50,000.00 to satisfy those who are like no way.

The gadgets:

Now you cannot recreate the batarang and its return to sender feature. However if you like to throw shit
Ninja stars are good for that. Personally i would have an arsenal of Non-lethal weapons. The hang gliding and wall climbing can be taken care of easily. Without an extensive knowledge of hang gliding i believe that a simple backpack design for a automatic pull cord glider isn’t that that far of a stretch for technology. The wall climbing stuff well. They already have equipment that is small and lightweight that gives you the ability to climb anything. Lets say all of this is another $20,000.00 -$30,000.00. The Non-Lethal weapons take up most of the bill in this area.

The Car:

OK this is what most of you are waiting for and possibly have skipped past to see how i would do this one. Well this is my favorite part and is the part that i would honestly say i know the most about. OK now let me explain something really quick. Allot of you are thinking “How do you make a armored beast with this budget”. There are companies that build replicas of exotic cars that are faster than the originals, for mere fractions of the price. For instance there is a Bugatti replica with twin v12 BMW engines that puts out more hp than the Veyron, that sells for around $70.000.00. The 2009 Nissan Skyline R35 GT-R beat the Ferrari Enzo in the time trials at the NÜRBURGRING track in Germany. The Skyline is set to be priced around $70,000.00. Just to give you an idea of how fast you can go for under $100,000.00. OK so what we need is a armored beast. We need a solid steel chassis something like you would find in a armored bank truck. Then you need allot of armor plating to give you and idea. To make a Chevy Suburban RPG proof it costs around $75,000.00 and adds around 2500lbs to the car. Now dealing with a frame as large as say a Dump truck i think we would need 3x the armor needed for the suburban. Thats roughly puts the Car at about 11,000lbs and puts the total so far around $240,000.00 and thats only the armor and frame. OK now given the weight of the vehicle were gonna need a load of horse power to move this thing fast enough to catch someone or more likely run and get away from the cops without using it to kill the entire force. So a 800hp v12 crate engine runs around $40,000.00 I don’t know about you but when i imagine my bat-mobile its faster than any lambo and can plow through anything. To move all that weight at that speed your going to need at the very least 2 rows of 3 in-line v12’s Oh yes its possible. They can do it with 2 they can do it with more… just no one has constructed my beast yet. So lets say 6 of those $40,000.00 engines thats 4800hp for $240,000.00 and the only way to distribute all of that power would be to make the car all wheel drive. I say for the custom transmission that would be needed for this thing would cost around $75,000.00-$100,000.00. And the Anti puncture monster truck tires are about $25,000.00 a piece. Now this is essentially the materials list for the beast with the exception of the GPS and computer equipment that would be in the car.. and you know what ill put a $50,000.00 cap on that also.. do you know what you can do with $2,000.00 of custom computer? OK so lets refresh for one second. We have a Large steal frame and bomb-proof armor totaling $240,000.00. We have 6 V12 engines with 4800hp for another $240,000.00. Transmission $100,000.00 , Tires $100,000.00 and computer hardware $50,000.00 So that means the car Comes out to around $730,000.00 And this thing will be faster than a Veyron and you would be able to tank through the white house and steal the Presidents morning coffee.

The entire package cost…

Suit $50,000.00

Gadgets $30,000.00

Car $730,000.00

Thats a grand total of $810,000.00 give or take. So you could become Batman for less than it would cost for a Bugatti Veyron.

Some people just want to see the world burn.

This past weekend a friend and I went to see the latest release in the batman series. Going into the movie the two of us had the intentions of tearing apart Heath Ledgers character. I mean who could play a better joker than Jack Nicholson himself? Now I’m not a fan of Heath, but its not like i dislike him. I figured that Hollywood would hype this movie astronomically due to Ledgers death shortly after the filming ended on the movie.

Ledger played a more insane and outrageous joker than i ever could of imagined. Never in a million years would i have thought that Heath Ledger had it in him. The is the same actor that played along side Julia Styles in the cliché teen movie “10 Things i hate about you” and the widely overrated “Brokeback Mountain”. Like i said i never thought that Ledger would of fit into any role in The Dark Knight let alone the Joker, But i must say he pulled it off, in-fact now i cant imagine another person ever playing the Joker. Ledger surpassed any expectations i had for his character, and for the first time in a long time i can say that the media hype was not a lie!! This leaves very little room in the future of the Jokers character in the Batman series. I can’t imagine them bringing the Joker back in any future batman movies now. If they do they’re gonna need one hell of a actor to top the man who destroyed Crazy Jack’s rendition of the joker.

As far as Bales performance as Batman, He remains in my opinion the best Batman to date. The cliché actor trend that was going on with the series after Keaton left, was completely ridiculous. Who the hell decided that Batman should be dropped into a fluorescent city surrounded by neon villains, & to top it off when you think that it can’t get any worse they cast Arnold as Mr. Freeze. Since I’ve begun to ramble about the the original Batman movies and this has nothing really to do with the new one i will quickly say this. The first two movies with Keaton, Nicholson, Kidman & DeVito are in my eyes classic. Batman was always my favorite superhero because he was never really a superhero he was just a regular guy like me or you, he just had the gadgets and the ability to whoop on some ass. So that was always what was appealing to me. I mean that isn’t as far fetched as it sounds. I will not even get into my ideas about that.. it may be a whole other entry into the blog.

I kinda go sidetracked with that last bit of the last paragraph but getting back to the Dark Knight, I recommend this movie to anyone who has the time to go out and see it. I think that if you wait for this to come out on DVD you may be disappointed that you may never be able to actually see it on the big screen. It is definitely one of those movies you should see in theaters, you’ll like the full experience of this one.

Check it out the hype is all its cracked up to be and more.
